Menifee Dog Grooming 
Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all grooming services provided by Menifee Dog Grooming (“we,” “us,” “our”). By booking an appointment or receiving services, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to these Terms.

By Providing your phone number you agree to receive text messages and emails from Menifee Dog Grooming about my appointments, service updates, and occasional promotions. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel texts or HELP for help.


Email Consent: I agree to receive emails from Menifee Dog Grooming (receipts, appointment reminders, service updates, and promotions). I can unsubscribe at any time.

1) Services & Client Responsibilities

  • You confirm you are the legal owner or authorized agent for the pet.

  • You agree to disclose any known behavioral concerns, bite history, medical conditions, allergies, senior limitations, pregnancy, or prior injuries.

  • You confirm your pet is current on required vaccinations as mandated by local law and agree to provide documentation upon request.

  • You confirm your pet is free of contagious conditions (including but not limited to fleas, ticks, ringworm, mange, or kennel cough). If symptoms are discovered, services may be refused or stopped.

2) Health, Safety & Humane Handling

  • Your pet’s safety and comfort are our priority. We may use humane handling techniques as needed for the pet’s and staff’s safety.

  • If a pet becomes overly stressed, aggressive, or unsafe to groom, we may stop the service. You remain responsible for charges for time/services completed.

3) Fleas/Ticks & Parasites

  • If fleas or ticks are found, additional cleaning and sanitation may be required.

  • Flea Bath Fee: $20 (may be required if fleas/ticks are present).

4) Matting, Shaving & Dematting Policy

  • Matting can cause skin irritation, bruising, or hematomas and may hide wounds.

  • For severely matted coats, shaving may be the most humane option. Dematting can increase stress and risk, and we may refuse dematting in our professional judgment.

  • Dematting Fee: $10 per 10 minutes (when dematting is appropriate and performed).

5) Pre-Existing Conditions & Grooming Risks

Grooming involves inherent risks, especially for pets that are elderly, anxious, aggressive, matted, or have medical issues. These may include minor nicks, clipper irritation, skin redness, ear irritation, or stress-related symptoms. You understand we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions that are aggravated during grooming.

6) Medical Emergencies

If we believe your pet needs veterinary care, you authorize us to seek treatment. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you first. You agree you are financially responsible for any veterinary costs incurred.

7) Appointments, Late Arrivals & No-Shows

  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment.

  • No-Shows: A fee may apply for missed appointments or no-shows.

8) Pick-Up Time

  • Pets must be picked up within 1 hour of being notified that grooming is complete.

  • A fee may apply for late pick-ups.

9) Pricing, Estimates & Payment

  • Prices vary by breed, coat condition, behavior, and time required. Any quote is an estimate, not a guarantee.

  • Payment is due at time of service completion.

  • Additional fees may apply for matting, special handling, parasites, or extra time required.

10) Satisfaction Policy

If you are not satisfied with your pet’s groom, please contact us as soon as possible. At our discretion, we may offer an adjustment. Refunds are not guaranteed.

11) Photos & Marketing

We may take photos/videos of your pet for our records or marketing. If you do not consent, notify us in writing before or at drop-off.

12) Personal Property

Please remove collars/harnesses with sentimental value. We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left with the pet.

13) Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including safety concerns, health concerns, or inappropriate behavior toward staff.

14) Liability Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to hold harmless and release Menifee Dog Grooming and its staff from claims arising from grooming services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

15) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website.
